Also called fisherman’s houses, Rorbuer cabins are a traditional Norwegian type of seasonal house that can be seen all along the northern and western coasts of the country. With their iconic bright red paint and white frame, these tiny wooden stilt houses were traditionally used to shelter the fishermen from the region. Nowadays, most cabins are available for rent to delight tourists!
